Is it just me or does the intro sounds like a Beck song?

A couple of years ago I was praying that Sky Ferreira makes it big. For some unexplained reasons I just believe in her, her talent, her voice, her charisma. Though I have mixed feelings towards her material back then, I was still rooting for her to break into the pop scene. I do get that her label didn’t know what to make out of her initially as they were obviously trying to make her the next Katy Perry and clearly, Ferreira was not having any of it. Until Ghost (EP) was released. I was blown away as it sounds exactly what I was hoping for her to do. Songs like Sad Dream (video above) or Everything is Embarrassing might not fit perfectly with the top 40 format, but nevertheless it’ll find it’s way to anyone who’s after sensible pop music. And if this EP is a sign of things to come, I might as well say Sky is ready for primetime.
